I love the Easter season. It has definitely become more meaningful to me as I have grown older and really understood what we are celebrating. True, the Easter Bunny and egg searching is very fun, and I love watching my niece Haylie hunt for eggs, but I really appreciate the true meaning of Easter and what it represents. Last night I went to the Easter program put on by the Temple Square Chorale and it was amazing. If you get a chance, for sure go to this performance (probably next year). It was very moving.
Easter and Christmas have become so commercialized that we don't even realize what or whom we are celebrating. I certainly hope we can remember our Savior this Easter season and his atoning sacrifice for us and his resurrection.
Happy Easter!
I'm glad the concert was good! Yeah, we tend to focus on the commercialization rather than Christ. Good reminder.
