Being the history geek that I am, I was so intrigued by this story of Albert the Duke of York, also known as King George VI, and his stammer. With the help of Lionel Logue, an early speech therapist, he was able to master his stammer, give a war-time speech and provide his people hope in a time of need. Colin Firth is a gem in his role and Geoffrey Rush is spectacular. I loved watching Bertie swallow his pride, win his little battles and gain the confidence to do what a king is born to do: lead.I loved it. Four Stars! If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do.
